Another Mother's Day Card

Hey Everyone! I really have all intentions on posting something everyday, but life doesn't let me! So I just have to be thankful that I get something posted. I found a cute card today while checking blogs, it was from Ashley Newell from A New Design. She makes such amazing cards, go check her out! I needed to make another card for Mother's Day. I made this one for a sweet lady from church, she is 80 years old. She could never have children of her own, but we all feel like we are her children. We call her "Our Momma Of The Church", so she so deserved this Mother's Day card! We all Love her sooo much!! I made these cute little flowers from some scraps from the Burp Cloths I made before. I used lots of scrap paper and ribbon and I had to use some of my new buttons. I also pieced together the sentiment from my Papertrey Ink mixed messages stamp set. I really like how it turned out and I hope she does too!

Papertrey Ink- mixed messages stamp, flowers made from fabric scraps, paper and ribbon from scraps, buttons from Bag-O-Buttons, embroidery floss, distressing

KWerner Color Challenge #50

Hey Everyone! I am so excited about this challenge!! Kristina has done such a good job on these challenges, and all the work she puts into it is amazing!! She deserves an award, maybe the Hardest Working Blogger Award!!! :) Thank You for all the hard work Kristina, I get so much inspiration from these challenges! Actually one of the reasons that I started my blog was to participate in these challenges, thanks for helping me step out and do it Kristina! The challenge this week has prizes to win, I must say that even if she didn't give anything away, just being picked in the top 10 is amazing!! :) We can only post one card for the challenge , which makes me feel a lot of pressure! Did anyone else feel that way? Anyway I needed a card for a family from church, they haven't been to church in awhile, they foster and adopt children and some have medical issues, so they are a very busy family! I just wanted them to know we love them and that they are in our prayers!

I found this owl stamp a couple weeks ago at Michael's $1 bin, I really fell in love with it. I wanted him to sit on a limb, but it didn't have a stamp like that, so I hand cut one. Of course I had to do some distressing and stitching! :) I also used my new Papertrey Ink - Mixed messages stamp set. I can't believe that I didn't use very much ribbon on this card, I LOVE ribbon! I went to town yesterday and bought some new crafty stuff, I used some of the buttons that I bought today, it was from the Bag-O-Buttons ( They are so cute)! If you notice the big button on the bottom of the card has wood grain on it, I thought it would be perfect for this card! I also wanted some wood grain on the branch, so I hand drew it on, and water colored the yellow eyes. Okay enough rambling, here's the card, hope you like it! Good Luck everybody on the challenge! :)

My Favorite Card and Some More Cards

Here are some cards I made over the weekend. I bought this Basic Gray paper a couple of month's ago. I have been waiting to use it for something, so I decided to use it for these cards. OK this probably one of my most favorite cards I've made. I LOVE it! It is for my sons teacher at school, she has a birthday on Sunday. My brother has a birthday next Monday so I made him a more manly card. I also made an extra birthday card ( I don't know who it's for yet and I'm not sure if I like this card, it's a little busy for me). My daughter said she really liked it, so it might be used for one of her friends. I used the design from Kristina Werner's card she made on her Finally Friday Card. My old preacher (before my husband was called to the ministry) and he is also my kids Assistant Principal at school, collects old milk bottles, and I found one at an Estate Sale. So made him a card to go with the bottle so my kids could bring it to school today. I found the cow stamp from Michael's last week in the $ bin. Well, here are the cards.

This is the card I LOVE!

This one is for my brother.

This is the one I'm not to sure I like.

This is the one I made to go with the old milk bottle.
Ok gotta go bring my daughter to softball practice and after that my son has a baseball game. It will be a late night! Have a Blessed night!

Gator Farm

Hi Everyone! I shared with you yesterday that we went to the Gator Farm. Well the weather has been really bad here the last couple of days, so we didn't get to go on the tour, we just went to the restaurant, feed the gators weenies on a string from the bridge, and held a baby gator. We had a good time, but wished we could have went on the tour. We will have to go back when the weather is better! I wanted to share some pictures with ya'll.

Here is Chace, Autumn, and some friends. ( This is a stuffed Gator)

( This is the stuffed one again) No I would not let my child do this to a real one! :)

OK, is it weird to eat Gator at a Gator Farm?!?! It is really GOOD though!
Chace trying it for the first time.

Autumn trying Gator for the first time.

Here is Chace baiting up the string to feed the Gators. (It doesn't have a hook, it's just for fun!)

You can see the Gator in the water, when it jumps up to eat it, it's kind of scary, but fun!

Here is a picture of one of the Gators he feed.

Here is one eating the weenie.

We didn't get a picture of them holding the baby Gator. It was about 12 in. long. So cute!

We had a great time! I'll be back tomorrow with some cards I made last night. Have a blessed night!

Cards & Layouts

Hello everyone! It is raining like crazy here! We went on a little trip today to the Gator farm, more to share later. Anyway I wanted to share a card I made the other day out of some scraps I had on my craft table. I got the design from Kristina Werner's blog. It was a pretty fast card! I made the layouts a couple of months ago and forgot to take pictures of them to post. If anyone is like me, before I had a digital camera I took way to many unnecessary pictures. Then I want to use them in my layouts, but there is way to many. Then I found I design over at Susan Weinroth's blog, go by and check it out if you have the same issue's with to many pictures for a layout! I made two with the same design, and plan on making more with the non digital pictures! The last layout is a layout I made of my daughter and her new sewing machine that I use more than her! :)

Thanks So Much card- My Mind's Eye paper, kraft CS, scraps from my stash, PaperTrey Ink- Mixed messages stamp

Vacation layouts- scraps from stash, hearts cut from Cricut

I Love Sewing layout- Aqua CS, red fabric stitched with sewing machine, white button with white ribbon, white gel pen
